Sarah studied music at The University of Surrey, and subsequently composition under the mentorship of Joe Duddell.  After moving to South West France in 2013 at the age of 27, she became a student and friend of the late Atarah Ben Tovim who taught her both performance studies in piano and flute as well as advising on her compositions until her death in 2022.

In 2020 Sarah signed her first publishing deal with Exodus Music & Film for her joint piano album, Modern Piano Miniatures Vol. 1, co-written with Duddell.  The two went on to write a follow-up album, Modern Piano Miniatures Vol. 2, which was published in 2022.

Sarah recorded her first string trio, Ex Corde Meo, in December 2023 with a group of musicians put together in Paris by violinist Daniel Galitsky, including the principal violist of the Royal Danish Symphony Orchestra.

Alongside her composing work, Sarah runs her own destination event business in France: she decided to combine her two passions and so, in April 2024, Shabby Chic Musique was born!

Chris studied saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Stephen Trier from 1983-86.  In his first year at college he joined the
Delta Saxophone Quartet which celebrates its 40th anniversary of creative music making in 2023-24.

Chris has toured Internationally in Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, China, and extensively in Europe. His contemporary music performing skills have seen him perform in numerous leading ensembles including London Sinfonietta, BCMG, Steve Martland Band, Delta Saxophone Quartet, the Red Note Ensemble, Group S, London Saxophonic & The Michael Nyman Band.

He is a respected orchestral saxophonist and has toured the UK & overseas with the RPO, RSC, WNO, ROH, Ulster Orchestra, BSO, BBCSO, Britten Sinfonia & CBSO. Chris has performed at the BBC Proms including the last night, on numerous occasions.

Susie studied the flute at the Royal Northern College of Music and read English at the University of York. She works as a freelance musician with many of the UK’s leading orchestras and ballet companies.

She has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician on In Tune & Late Junction, played at the BBC Proms and has recorded several contemporary and chamber CDs for FMR records.  Her recordings have received worldwide radio play on BBC Radio 3, RTÉ, ABC Australia, NZ Radio, local radio stations in the US, WDR, ÖRF and VPRO. The music from Mariner’s Way was used for a documentary on national German radio station, WDR.

​

As a concerto soloist she has played many times at St Martins-in-th-Fields with both London Concertante and the Belmont Ensemble. She also performed concertos in Canterbury Cathedral and in other churches around the UK with the New London Sinfonia.
